Sewing 101 for Adults

Using our sewing machines, learn the basics of machine sewing by completing three projects.  A small pillow, a drawstring bag, and a pillowcase.  How and when to adjust stitch length and tension, the parts of the machne and how it works, and how to sew.  We will have fabric on hand but consider bringing your own to be sure your pieces reflect your taste.  You will need two coordinating "fat quarters" or a half yard of fabric, another half yard piece of fabric, and a piece of fabric that is a yard and a half.  If you are bringing your own fabric, please wash and dry it according to instructions.  We suggest 100% cotton fabrics.  Silks, satins and rayon or bamboo fabrics are too slippery for this class and are not recommended.
